DEM Party delegation visits Figen Yüksekdağ
Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar from the DEM Party Imralı Delegation met with former HDP Co-Chair Figen Yüksekdağ, who has been imprisoned for nearly ten years.
The meeting, which took place at Kandıra Prison, was organized as part of the DEM Party's visits to political prisoners in jails. Following the visit, Pervin Buldan made a statement and conveyed Figen Yüksekdağ's messages to the public.
In her statement, Buldan conveyed Yüksekdağ's greetings, stating, "She sends her best regards to everyone. We found her to be in extremely high spirits. I would like to mention that she celebrates the March 8th of all women. She said that the struggle of women for freedom and equality is very valuable." Buldan also reiterated the demand for Yüksekdağ's immediate release.
Finally, it was learned that the members of the DEM Party Imralı Delegation also visited former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş and Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Selçuk Mızraklı at the Edirne F-Type Prison yesterday.
