Demonstrations and events in Tunceli made subject to administrative approval
The Tunceli Governor's Office has announced that a decision has been made to subject all demonstrations and events across the province to the approval of the administrative authority for a period of 5 days.
In a statement issued by the Tunceli Governor's Office, it was stated: "Within the framework of the provisions of the aforementioned law, with the exception of events deemed appropriate by the governor's office and district governorships, all actions and events such as press statements, meetings and demonstration marches, rallies, open-air meetings, protest actions, sit-ins, commemorations, hunger strikes, setting up stands, signature campaigns, concerts, festivals, distributing flyers, leaflets, brochures, hanging banners or posters, lighting and carrying torches, cinevision screenings, etc., in public areas such as squares, streets, avenues, roads, and parks within the provincial borders of Tunceli, have been decided to be subject to the approval of the administrative authority for a period of five days, from 00:01 on July 25, 2024, to 23:59 on July 29, 2024."
