Deniz Yavuzyılmaz reacts to highway and bridge toll hikes: A double hike has arrived

CHP's Deniz Yavuzyılmaz, who has pointed out that citizens are being harmed for various reasons through his documented posts on social media and has issued important warnings on this subject, has this time shared a post regarding the hikes in highway and bridge tolls.

Stating that in addition to the hikes, a current exchange rate adjustment has been made to the guarantee amounts paid to the companies operating the tunnels and bridges, Yavuzyılmaz described this as a double hike.

Deniz Yavuzyılmaz also disclosed the amounts of money the Treasury will pay if the daily vehicle passage numbers guaranteed in these projects are not met.

As of July 1, 2026;

A double hike has arrived for vehicle tolls on tunnels and bridges operated under the Build-Operate-Transfer model.

While toll fees are being increased on one hand, a current exchange rate adjustment has been made to the guarantee amounts paid to the companies operating the tunnels and bridges on the other.

With the hike and current exchange rate adjustment effective from July 1, 2026;

At the Osmangazi Bridge;

The vehicle toll guaranteed by the Treasury to the company is rising to 2,697 TL.

1,170 TL of this amount will be paid by the driver of the vehicle passing through the bridge.

The difference amount that the Treasury will pay to the company for each vehicle passing through the bridge will be 1,527 TL.

At the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge;

The vehicle toll guaranteed by the Treasury to the company is rising to 279 TL.

110 TL of this amount will be paid by the driver of the vehicle passing through the bridge.

The difference amount that the Treasury will pay to the company for each vehicle passing through the bridge will be 169 TL.

At the Eurasia Tunnel;

The vehicle toll guaranteed by the Treasury to the company is rising to 348 TL.

330 TL of this amount will be paid by the driver of the vehicle passing through the tunnel.

The difference amount that the Treasury will pay to the company for each vehicle passing through the tunnel will be 18 TL.

At the Çanakkale Bridge;

The vehicle toll guaranteed by the Treasury to the company is rising to 1,170 TL.

1,170 TL of this amount will be paid by the driver of the vehicle passing through the bridge.

The Treasury will not make a difference payment to the company for vehicles passing through the bridge.

Furthermore, if the daily vehicle passage numbers guaranteed in these projects are not met, the Treasury is obliged to pay for each vehicle in the unmet number to the companies:

2,697 TL at the Osmangazi Bridge

1,170 TL at the Çanakkale Bridge

348 TL at the Eurasia Tunnel

279 TL at the YSS Bridge
