According to the information obtained, the incident took place in the Karşıyaka neighborhood of the Karaköprü district.

A.B., who serves as the Head of the Department of Science Affairs at the Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality, allegedly attempted suicide with a firearm at his home.

A.B., who was seriously injured, was taken to the hospital by ambulance after receiving initial intervention from medical teams dispatched to the scene. His relatives and colleagues, upon hearing the news, flocked to the hospital.

It was learned that A.B., who previously served as the Head of the Real Estate and Expropriation Department, was appointed as the Head of the Department of Science Affairs in 2024.

The reason for A.B.'s suicide attempt, who is currently receiving treatment in intensive care, has not yet been determined.
