Afyonkarahisar Deputy Governor and Provincial Special Administration Secretary General İhsan Ayrancı, who was found shot and taken to the hospital in critical condition, has passed away.
In a statement made by the Afyonkarahisar Governor's Office, it was stated: "Our Deputy Governor and Provincial Special Administration Secretary General, Mr. İhsan Ayrancı, passed away this evening.
We wish God's mercy upon our late Deputy Governor, Mr. İhsan Ayrancı; we extend our condolences and patience to his precious family and relatives, as well as his colleagues and loved ones.
The judicial and administrative investigation into the matter is ongoing."
COMMITTED SUICIDE
Following the examinations conducted by crime scene investigation teams on Ayrancı's body, his remains were taken to the Afyonkarahisar State Hospital Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy.
Examinations determined that Ayrancı had fired a single shot to his head with his own service weapon.
Following the incident, Afyonkarahisar Governor Naci Aktaş, Provincial Police Chief Gökhan Demirtola, and agency directors arrived at the hospital to receive information.
The condolences message published on the official social media account of the Afyonkarahisar Governor's Office expressed deep sorrow. It was reported that a comprehensive investigation launched into the death of Ayrancı, who was known to be married and a father of two, is continuing.
