Dervişoğlu's first reaction to Bahçeli's status call: We will talk tomorrow
İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu, when asked about MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's call to grant status to PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, stated, "We are already in pain, and there are those who are compounding our pain. We will talk to them tomorrow."
İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu attended the funeral prayer held at Karşıyaka Cemetery for Sami Özsoy, an İYİ Party member and Cyprus veteran.
Following the funeral ceremony, when reminded of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's proposal during his group meeting to grant the title of "Peace Process and Politicization Coordinator" to PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan, Dervişoğlu said, "That is for tomorrow. I do not make statements related to politics in a mosque courtyard or at a cemetery. We are already in pain. There are also those who are compounding our pain. We will talk to them tomorrow."
