Dervişoğlu's reaction to the 'call': A call for the PKK to move its office from northern Iraq to northern Syria

In a press conference held regarding the call by PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan, Dervişoğlu stated, "This call is merely a call for the PKK to move its office from northern Iraq to northern Syria."

Reacting sharply to Öcalan's call, Dervişoğlu said, "This process is a lifelong presidency bargain by playing with the definition of the nation."

Highlights from Dervişoğlu's statements are as follows:

"I greet the Great Turkish Nation with respect. As citizens of the Republic of Turkey who possess national pride and consciousness, we are under the assault of an organized madness, an administration that has lost its way to the point of waiting for a letter from the murderer of 50 thousand of our people, a convict serving a life sentence.

I would like to note for history that this process is a dirty product of an equally dirty bargain. Turkey is on the verge of falling into a pit of tyranny unprecedented in history due to one man's ambition for position and title. My dear nation; the Turkish state has long been pursuing a claim.

According to this; the PYD/YPG terrorist organization structured in northern Syria is actually the PKK itself. Indeed, those who claim to govern this country have addressed the USA and the European Union, saying; 'The PYD/YPG is the PKK itself. You call the PKK a terrorist organization, yet you support the YPG. Both are the same organization.'

Based on this reality; in the dirty game being played today, the call made to the convicted terrorist is merely a call for the PKK to move its office from northern Iraq to northern Syria. This government, which previously had to fight against the terrorists they allowed to cross into northern Syria on Republic Day, has apparently put a new version of the same betrayal into effect today.

The architects of this game must explain who they are making what bargains with, and what they think about the state-building in northern Syria that they said they would 'never allow.' This is a debt of honor to our nation. I am addressing all our citizens who have not yet faced what the results of this process will be, and I hope that; when they saw the photo of the terrorist leader and his cronies published on television today, and heard the letter, they thought of our thousands of martyrs and brought to their minds our thousands of veterans who were deprived of their limbs. And with the addition of such a betrayal to the indescribable pain that their mothers, fathers, children, and spouses have been living for years, they have understood the deep pain they are currently experiencing. This government, which dares to create a peace dove out of a baby killer, is actually incorporating the PKK into the People's Alliance state under the guise of dissolving it.

In short, regardless of the name and justification under which it is carried out, this process is a lifelong presidency bargain by playing with the definition of the nation. And it serves no other purpose. Rest assured, there is no lie that those in power will not tell, and no internal or external concession they will not make to achieve this.

At the end of the path taken as 'TERROR-FREE TURKEY', TERROR WILL BECOME A STATE. The name PKK will be dissolved, and a PYD-YPG terror state will be established.

I would especially like to submit to the appreciation of our nation; calling the finale of a vile terror process that has cost the lives of thousands of our children an 'honorable exit' is the very definition of dishonor. While terrorists become acceptable, being Turkish will mean being a terrorist. Journalists, party chairmen, our young lieutenants, our business world, all are the first victims of this path.

If we cannot stop this, the Imralı terrorists will be free, and the citizens of the Republic will be prisoners. The hell of lawlessness and poverty will expand and evolve into a hell of federation. At the point we have reached, rest assured that there is no bottom to the darkness into which those who expect us to believe that peace will come to a non-existent war through the self-dissolution of a terrorist organization that has long since moved itself to other names and geographies by taking refuge in the letter of a registered baby killer will drag us.

Today is the day to fight against those who remain spectators to this shadow play and those who applaud it. To every brother and sister who loves their country,

I remind you of the duty given by Gazi Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK on October 20, 1927;

"Those who hold power within the country may be in negligence, error, and even treason. These holders of power may even unite their personal interests with the political ambitions of the invaders. The nation may be in poverty, ruined and exhausted. O child of the Turkish future; even in these circumstances and conditions, your duty is to save the Turkish independence and republic."

Either we will all sit together and watch this shadow play, and agree to the Republic being taken from our hands forever; or as honorable Turkish citizens, we will protect the Republic of Turkey forever. I greet my dear nation with respect."
