Detail of 'irregularity' in YÖK report on İmamoğlu's diploma: Striking claim

A claim that will dominate the agenda has been made regarding the investigation opened over allegations that İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu's diploma is fake.

Journalist Sinan Burhan stated that the YÖK report prepared regarding İmamoğlu's diploma says, "The transfer made to Istanbul University is irregular."

Appearing as a guest on the program Eşit Ağırlık with Erdoğan Aktaş, broadcast on tv100, Sinan Burhan revealed the YÖK report prepared regarding İmamoğlu's diploma. Burhan stated that the 14-page report says, "The transfer made to Istanbul University is irregular."

Burhan used the following expressions in his statement:

“It is stated that YÖK sent a 14-page report to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Here, 3 members of the Higher Education Supervisory Board worked. 2 rapporteurs also worked. A total of 5 people worked on the committee. The main subject is that the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation into forgery of documents following reports in the media and sent a letter to YÖK.

'TRANSFER IS IRREGULAR'

According to the information we have received, YÖK conducted a long study and, as a result, prepared and sent a 14-page report. The main sentence is this; 'In 1990, Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu transferred from Girne American University to the Istanbul University English Business Administration faculty. There was no equivalence at these dates. That is, there was no recognition. In other words, a report was prepared stating that the transfer made to Istanbul University is irregular.'"
