Detailed damage assessment report on Kartalkaya fire submitted to prosecutor's office

A detailed damage assessment report regarding the fire tragedy at the Grand Kartal Hotel in Bolu Kartalkaya, where 78 people lost their lives, has been submitted to the prosecutor's office.

According to a report in Birgün, the document prepared by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and submitted to the prosecutor's office states that the fire was highly destructive. It notes that due to the critical condition of the 4th and 5th floors, it would be appropriate to classify the building as "heavily damaged." The report further suggests that before any administrative action is taken regarding the building, the ongoing legal process and the expert witness report should be completed, and subsequent actions should be taken accordingly.

In a statement from the Ministry, it was recalled that teams from the Bolu Provincial Directorate had issued a "heavily damaged" report for the building following their post-fire inspection of the hotel.
