Former Miss Turkey Banu Öztürk, who was detained on charges of insulting AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has been placed under observation at Erenköy Mental and Nervous Diseases Hospital.
Banu Öztürk, who was crowned Miss Globe Turkey in 2009, had been detained on allegations of insulting AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

According to a report by Habertürk, following her processing at the police station, Öztürk was referred to the Forensic Medicine Branch Directorate, where it was decided that she would be kept under observation for three weeks at Erenköy Mental and Nervous Diseases Hospital based on the evaluations conducted there.
