A detention warrant has been issued for retired Colonel Orkun Özeller. According to Halktv.com.tr, after being notified of the decision, Özeller went to the courthouse in Ordu of his own volition.

It was reported that the charge brought against Özeller is "inciting the public to hatred and hostility." Furthermore, it was learned that the statements he made regarding MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli are also included within the scope of the investigation.
