Development in the fake e-signature case: Defendant for whom an arrest warrant was issued captured in Istanbul
Ziya Kadiroğlu, who was released in the fake document case but for whom a new arrest warrant was issued, has been captured in Istanbul.
Following the decision to re-arrest Ziya Kadiroğlu—who had been released under judicial control conditions during the October 10 hearing of the case heard by the Ankara 23rd Criminal Court of First Instance—upon the objection of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, police teams launched an operation to apprehend the defendant.
The teams took the defendant Kadiroğlu into custody in Istanbul.
ARREST WARRANTS FOR 5 DEFENDANTS
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had objected to the release of defendants Ziya Kadiroğlu, Mıhyedin Yakışır, Yalçın Maraşlı, Gökay Celal Gülen, and Taner Dağhan under judicial control conditions during the hearing on October 10 at the Ankara 23rd Criminal Court of First Instance.
Finding the objection justified, the duty high criminal court had ordered the re-arrest of the released defendants.
