Development in the Narin murder case regarding 'mother Yüksel Güran': An appeal had been filed
An appeal has been filed against the detention of mother Yüksel Güran, who was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment in the Narin Güran murder case that deeply shook Turkey. The 8th High Criminal Court, which conducted the trial and issued the sentence, stated in a letter to the higher court that it saw no inaccuracy in its decision and that the ruling was appropriate.
In the case regarding the brutal murder of Narin in Diyarbakır, uncle Salim Güran, mother Yüksel Güran, and brother Enes Güran were sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment, while the confessor Nevzat Bahtiyar was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison for the crime of destroying, concealing, or altering evidence of a crime.
Lawyers for mother Yüksel Güran appealed the detention of Yüksel Güran, who was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment for "intentional killing of a child in complicity." The 8th High Criminal Court, which conducted the trial and issued the sentence, stated in a letter to the higher court that it saw no inaccuracy in its decision and that the ruling was appropriate.
Following the verdict, lawyers for mother Yüksel Güran, who received an aggravated life sentence, appealed her detention. The file was sent to the 9th High Criminal Court.
According to journalist Emrullah Erdinç, the 8th High Criminal Court, which conducted the trial and issued the sentence, stated in a letter to the higher court that it saw no inaccuracy in its decision and that the ruling was appropriate.
