Devlet Bahçeli: Amedspor research is trying to keep the treason of separatism alive

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli reacted harshly to the dirty factions attempting to sabotage the goal of a "Terror-Free Turkey."

Reminding that he congratulated Amedspor on its Süper Lig success, MHP leader Bahçeli warned that the club is being targeted to be used as a tool for dirty projects.

Calling for legal regulations against perception operations, Bahçeli delivered the message: "There is no turning back from our goal of a Terror-Free Turkey."

In recent days, initiatives aimed at poisoning the climate of peace and brotherhood created by a terror-free Turkey, carried out by so-called researchers who are puppets of imperialism—even if their target audiences differ, their purpose is the same—are noteworthy.

The "Research on Perception and Fandom of Amedspor Among Kurds," stated to be a study conducted in cooperation with the Kurdish Studies Center (KSC) and Rawest Research with the support of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, was announced on August 28, 2026.

The research claims that Amedspor fandom intensifies the line between football and identity, and it is trying to keep the treason of separatism alive.

Furthermore, in another survey served to the public by a research and consultancy company that has zero credibility and is morally bankrupt, the Turkish nation's belief in Allah, Angels, the Holy Quran, our Prophet, Destiny, and the belief that they will be resurrected and held accountable after death was supposedly researched, and negative results were presented.

The Turkish nation is a Muslim nation; playing with spiritual values will only please its enemies.

The goal of a Terror-Free Turkey, which we initiated with the ideal of bringing humanity to the justice, peace, and tranquility it longs for, has reached an important stage with the "Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration" accepted by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).

The fact that the law was accepted with the votes of 467 deputies is a projection of the national will; it is an indicator of the determination and comprehensive consensus toward a terror-free Turkey, peace, brotherhood, national solidarity, and social integration.

A terror-free Turkey is the hope for brotherhood, peace, and prosperity, and the harbinger of the coming Turkish centuries.

To get rid of the scourge of terrorism, which lays ambushes for our will to develop and shrinks our bread, is to strengthen our brotherhood again and more firmly in every corner of Anatolia.

In a terror-free Turkey, where terrorism is liquidated, security is permanently ensured, and cities and rural areas have attained a climate of peace, one of the biggest obstacles in front of the development move will have been removed.

A terror-free Turkey is the door opening to a terror-free and stable region, a blow dealt to imperialist scenarios, and the will of the regional peoples to own their own future.

In the new century of our Republic, we are in the effort and determination to build the Turkish and Turkey century.

Indeed, our country is emerging as an important actor on a regional and global scale.

Turkey is in a climate where economic and social life is reviving, peace, security, and prosperity are increasing, the pleasure of being Turkey together as a nation is being experienced, and peace and brotherhood are taking root.

In such an environment where national unity and solidarity are strengthened, and social integration is woven stitch by stitch, there is an attempt to play with the national and spiritual dynamics of the Turkish nation under the name of various research, and auspicious developments are being sabotaged.

Dynamics that want to poison the climate of peace and brotherhood are in action.

Sports are one of the most powerful tools for brotherhood, peace, solidarity, and social integration. For this reason, the field of sports should be carefully avoided from being used for identity politics, divisive rhetoric, or political purposes.

At the foundation of sports, besides competition, there should be an understanding of morality, fair play, mutual respect, and social responsibility. Success must undoubtedly be achieved without compromising these values.

Sensitivities aimed at strengthening Turkey's social peace, unity, and solidarity should be observed; sports clubs and sports organizations should not be made tools for provocative initiatives regarding social peace.

In this context, it is important that all sports clubs, including Amedspor, act in accordance with the unifying spirit of sports and stay away from attitudes and rhetoric that could increase social tensions.

Sports must be the legitimate ground for brotherhood, peace, solidarity, and our common future, not for politics and divisive identity debates.

No one has the right to poison the goal of a terror-free Turkey, the climate of peace, tranquility, and brotherhood under the guise of sports.

They should not have the audacity to do so either.

Those who attempt to exploit the critical and sensitive period of the Turkish nation, and those who strive to bring humiliation to the social ground, will find the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) and the People's Alliance (Cumhur İttifakı) against them.

Regarding Amedspor's success in rising to the Süper Lig, in my statement addressed to Amedspor President Mr. Nahit Eren on May 4, 2026, I said: "I welcome the fact that Amedspor, which was founded in 1990 and brought color, excitement, and a new breath to Turkish sports, has achieved the success of rising to the Süper Lig for the first time in club history. I evaluate this meaningful success as a valuable development on behalf of our Diyarbakır and Turkish football." And we are of the same determination.

It is a delusion to match sports with identity by saying that politics, sports, and identity are intertwined, inspired by an obscure research.

It is also a great slander against the people who put effort into sports.

Regardless of political view, ethnic origin, sect, or disposition, sports is an activity that should embrace everyone, uniting and integrating.

Our nation is pleased with Amedspor's rise to the Süper Lig and its success there.

It is a great expectation for an Anatolian team to be permanent in the Süper Lig, as it was with our similar teams in the past.

However, it is understood that there are those who want to use Amedspor for their dirty projects, and first and foremost, the club officials and the people of Diyarbakır must react to this provocation.

These initiatives are a plan to sabotage a terror-free Turkey.

It is an attempt to poison the climate of brotherhood and peace.

Amedspor is a football club of Turkey that is followed with appreciation for its play in the Süper Lig and the successes it has achieved, and it must remain so.

Football should be handled with a high-quality, moral, solidarity-based understanding around national values and an approach that focuses on international-level rises and national team successes.

Sports should not be used as a tool for politics and dark ambitions, and those who do so should be held accountable within the framework of the law.

We invite everyone who is in favor of a terror-free Turkey, especially Amedspor executives, to be sensitive about this issue and to take urgent measures.

Stands should not be turned into a provocation area for opponents of a terror-free Turkey.

Infiltration among fans must be prevented.

It must be prevented that treason networks disguised as cheerleaders develop a language that threatens peace with fake directions such as sports, politics, and identity.

It is mandatory to prevent such sabotage during the implementation phase of Law No. 7595 on the Strengthening of National Solidarity and Social Integration.

The commissions established with the aforementioned law must act meticulously in preventing such provocations, and necessary sanctions must be applied by the relevant institutions.

Along with sports, another provocation, destruction, and manipulation under the name of an Islamic survey has been brought to the agenda simultaneously.

By showing the Turkish nation, 99 percent of which is Muslim, as different from what it is with its faith, worship, and values, it is intended to confuse minds with a picture that will deny our deep-rooted civilization.

It is intended to show the Turkish nation as uprooted, parvenu communities.

It is a great evil to portray this noble nation as devoid of its creed, faith, beliefs, and values.

It must be exposed who these serve and for what purpose.

Islam is the last religion with which we as a nation have been honored.

Our glorious ancestors have been the standard-bearers of Islam for centuries.

Our Prophet, the master of both worlds, is our guide.

As Yahya Kemal Beyatlı emphasized in the lines, "This storm that is breaking is the Turkish army, O Lord, the army that dies for Your sake is this, O Lord," the Turkish nation has won its victories with the spirit of martyrdom and ghaza, with faith and belief.

The coming Turkish centuries will also be realized in science, economy, and foreign policy with this belief, faith, and loyalty.

The effort to show our nation as a rootless, characterless, irreligious society under the name of Islamic research is a great distortion, an important fifth-column activity.

The Turkish nation is faithful, moral, believing, and loyal to its religion, piety, traditional values, and cultural heritage.

Accusing the Turkish nation with such a style and leaving it under suspicion is a shameful and immoral conspiracy.

The manipulation and destruction that these survey companies are trying to carry out in society must be investigated in all its aspects.

As the Nationalist Movement Party, as we have brought to the agenda before, we foresee a legal regulation that will prevent studies served under the name of public opinion research that are far from scientific and reality, aimed at directing society, and that will evaluate and audit them on a scientific and legal basis, where correct standards are determined in practice.

In this context, we deem it necessary to determine the principles and procedures regarding the qualifications and competencies of public opinion research organizations and researchers, and to introduce criminal sanctions for those who present false, incorrect, and misleading information for the purpose of directing or influencing.

No one will have the power to stop the blessed march of the Turkish nation with disinformation and perception operations, to put Turkey into a climate of turmoil and chaos with social engineering calculations, or to change the route of our country.

There will be no turning back from a terror-free Turkey.

Let the addressees know that we are aware of the traps being set on the front of evil.

The opportunity to get rid of terrorism forever, which Turkey has been fighting for about fifty years and which has caused the loss of life and property of many of our people, disturbs the networks of treason.

The strengthening of our brotherhood, the development of democracy, and the removal of obstacles to our country's rise keep Turkey's adversaries awake at night.

Even if those who are disturbed by the erasure of terrorism, violence, and separatism from minds and the rooting of unity and solidarity try to infect society through so-called research, the foresight of our nation is strong enough to break dirty games.

A Turkey where terrorism is completely liquidated will increase predictability and investor confidence, strengthen production capacity, and increase the prosperity of our citizens at the center of regional trade networks.

It is our primary desire and goal for Turkey to resolve its terrorism issue within its national will, having strengthened its internal front and ensured its national unity, political and economic stability.

Therefore, we consider it of vital importance to avoid initiatives that could lead to tension, polarization, and social events.

The effort of imperialism to produce political, social, and economic instability by perpetuating ethnic, religious, and sect-based divisiveness and chaos is known.

A terror-free Turkey also aims for regional stability and peace against similar provocations and conflicts in our region.

Our nation stands by a terror-free Turkey and wants terrorism to be removed from our agenda with all its elements.

It wishes for the poisonous air of terrorism to be cleared from our political climate and for the weeds to be uprooted from our land of trust and peace.

It desires for the climate of democracy, the rule of law, prosperity, and security to consolidate and embrace all our citizens without any discrimination.

We believe that as a nation, we will not fall for provocations, and the goal of a terror-free Turkey, which is a state policy, will be the success of Turkish politics and, hopefully, the work of our entire nation.

We are the Turkish nation all together, we are all the Republic of Turkey.
