The couple's lawyer, Çağdaş Çelik, had previously stated in a program he attended that he would withdraw from the case if the 'money laundering' allegations were proven with evidence.
WITHDREW FROM THE CASE
According to the report by Egehan Erkün from TELE1, Çelik announced that he has withdrawn from the case in which his clients are being tried on charges of 'money laundering.' When asked, "Do you accept that the allegations have been evidenced?" Çelik replied, "No, I do not accept it. I have not seen the contents of the file." When asked, "Why did you make this decision?" Çelik said, "I just don't want to be involved in the file anymore."
