Dilan Polat's lawyer responds to 'suicide' claims! 'Regarding her being weak...'

The couple Dilan Polat and Engin Polat, who frequently made headlines with their luxurious lifestyle, were arrested on November 5 on charges of money laundering and tax evasion.

It had been alleged that Dilan Polat, who is being held at Marmara Prison, told her husband Engin Polat, who is in Çorlu Prison, during a phone call that she “wanted to commit suicide” and that the prison administration had taken precautions as a result.

LAWYER RESPONDS TO SUICIDE CLAIMS

A statement regarding the allegations came from Osman Eryiğit, who identified himself as the lawyer for the Polat couple.

In a statement on his social media account, Eryiğit stated that he met with Dilan Polat today and asked that no credence be given to manipulations suggesting that Polat is weak or that she would commit suicide.

Stating that Polat met with her daughter today, Eryiğit conveyed that she was smiling during the meeting, that her condition was quite good, and that Polat told her daughter, 'I know I am innocent, I am just waiting patiently for this to be understood.'

Lawyer Eryiğit expressed his belief that if Dilan Polat is released, her loved ones will encounter a very different Dilan.
