WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
On July 1, 2021, a citizen walking their dog on a plot of land on Bağdat Street in the Kırkpınar neighborhood of Sapanca district noticed that the dog had found a severed foot and reported the situation to police teams.
Upon the report, teams arriving at the scene found the dismembered bodies of two people, one woman and one man, inside trash bags buried in the ground.
Following the incident, detectives from the Murder Bureau of the Sakarya Police Department's Public Security Branch launched a large-scale investigation and, after their examinations, determined that the woman had breast implants and the man had a dragon tattoo on his arm. Starting from these clues and conducting meticulous work, the teams managed to identify the victims in a short time. Determining that the bodies belonged to a 40-year-old Iranian woman named A.S. and a 39-year-old man named M.Z., who were involved in the real estate business, the teams launched a comprehensive investigation into the matter. The Iranian national A.M., who was detained in connection with the murder, was arrested by the court he was brought before.
