Scandal after scandal is unfolding ahead of the Super Cup match scheduled to be played in Saudi Arabia.
DISRESPECT FROM THE SAUDIS TOWARD ATATÜRK
While Saudi authorities did not allow the use of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's quote, "Peace at home, peace in the world," claiming it could contain a political message, both teams refused to take the field following this incident.
Meanwhile, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray fans in the stadium chanted "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal" in response to the events, but when music was played over the stadium speakers at that moment, the fans protested with whistles.
