The Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) celebrated the October 29 Republic Day with a published message.
The Presidency of Religious Affairs celebrated the 102nd anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic with a published message.
The message, which stated that the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and all those who have worked to elevate the state from the past to the present are remembered with respect and gratitude, honored the ancestors who fought for the homeland, as well as all martyrs and veterans, while celebrating October 29 Republic Day. The message expressed the enthusiasm of reaching the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Republic, stating: "On this occasion, we congratulate every member of our dear nation, as well as our citizens and kin living abroad, on Republic Day. A century ago, our dear nation waged a struggle for independence rarely seen in history with its unwavering faith, resilience, and foresight. Inspired by its glorious history, it acted in unity and solidarity to protect its freedom, homeland, and sacred values, breaking the chains of captivity and establishing the Republic of Turkey. The Republic of Turkey, founded after an epic struggle written in golden letters in history, is a work of the love for the homeland and the desire for freedom that our nation has nurtured in its heart."
"REMEMBERING ALL WHO WORKED TO ELEVATE OUR STATE, STARTING WITH ATATÜRK..."
The message also included the following statements:
"Our duty is to work with all our might to carry our heavenly homeland, our flag, our independence, and our sacred values—which our heroic ancestors protected with great sacrifices and entrusted to each of us—into the future. In this regard, the Presidency of Religious Affairs continues to work with a spirit of solidarity with all its members for the survival of our country, which has grown stronger every day since the founding of our Republic, and for the peace of our nation.
On this occasion, we remember with respect and gratitude all our elders who have worked to elevate our state from the past to the present, starting with the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. We pray to Almighty Allah for mercy upon our noble ancestors who fought to make these lands our homeland, our dear martyrs who sacrificed their lives for this cause, and our heroic veterans who have passed into the afterlife. Happy October 29 Republic Day."
