Diyanet issues statement on reports that 'Health Personnel Exam questions were distributed'

In the statement made by the Presidency, it was recalled that the exam for candidates wishing to serve as health personnel in the Hajj organization was held on November 9, 2024, in 19 provinces.

Noting that an investigation was launched following applications made to the Presidential Communication Center (CİMER) after the exam, the statement included the following remarks:

"As a result of the investigation conducted by the inspectors of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, it was determined that a health worker participating in the multiple-choice exam, despite the rules being clearly stated and precautions taken before the exam, brought their mobile phone into the exam hall, took a photo of two side-by-side pages during the crowd at the time of booklet submission at the end of the exam, and shared it in a WhatsApp group approximately 3 hours after the exam.

Due to the individual rule violation by the health worker candidate, it was deemed appropriate to cancel the exam for all candidates and hold it again to ensure that the reliability of the exam is not overshadowed, to eliminate any concerns of suspicion among candidates, and in terms of public interest and service requirements. In this context, it has been decided that the exam will be held on January 25, 2025.

Under these circumstances, the allegation that the questions were given to the relatives of some administrators, or sent to some individuals in exchange for gifts, is completely false. Legal proceedings have been initiated regarding this intentional news report targeting our Presidency and our administrators."
