Diyarbakır Governor's Office issues statement on 'legal process' regarding Narin Güran murder
The Diyarbakır Governor's Office stated regarding reports on various news websites, "During the searches conducted, there was no meeting between gendarmerie personnel and individuals referred to as 'faith healers' (üfürükçü), as alleged. A legal process will be initiated regarding the baseless and malicious news reports."
In the statement made by the Governor's Office, it was said, "A need has arisen to make a statement regarding the subject in order to inform the public correctly. The search efforts for Narin Güran, who was reported missing on August 21, 2024, at 20:50 in Tavşantepe Neighborhood of Bağlar district in Diyarbakır province, were carried out by expert personnel and with technical equipment, and all reports received during the searches were meticulously evaluated and carried out within the framework of the relevant legislation. During the searches conducted, there was no meeting between gendarmerie personnel and individuals referred to as 'faith healers' (üfürükçü), as alleged. A legal process will be initiated regarding the baseless and malicious news reports."
