DMM issues statement on reports that '25 new provinces will be established'
The Center for Combating Disinformation issued a statement on the social media platform X regarding claims circulating in the public eye in recent days that "25 new provinces will be established."
The Presidency's Directorate of Communications Center for Combating Disinformation has announced that claims appearing in some media outlets and social media accounts regarding the "establishment of 25 new provinces" do not reflect the truth.
In the statement made by the Center, it was stated that the aforementioned claims shared by some media outlets and social media accounts are not factual.
The statement emphasized that there is currently no planned or ongoing work regarding the establishment of new provinces, noting that "the claims in question aim to create perception and manipulation in the public eye by creating artificial agendas."
The DMM stated that it is important for citizens to rely only on statements made by official authorities and called for caution against baseless claims.
