In a post shared on the DMM's social media account, it was stated: "The claims shared on some social media accounts that 'the era of travel with green passports has ended with the European Parliament's (EP) latest report on Turkey' are completely baseless.
There is no decision in the EP Turkey report, which is clearly seen to have been prepared with a deliberate agenda and an assessment far from fairness, that restricts, prevents, or eliminates the existing visa-free travel rights of special (green) passport holders.
There has been no change in the visa-free travel rights that our citizens possess with green passports.
It is kindly requested that no credence be given to content aimed at manipulating public opinion, spreading disinformation, and creating baseless anxiety among our citizens."
