DMM issues statement on claim that 'an Alawite family in Syria was targeted by Turkish soldiers'
The Presidential Communications Directorate's Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) has reported that the claim that "an Alawite family in Syria was directly targeted by Turkish soldiers" does not reflect the truth.
In a statement made on the DMM's social media account, it was stated that the claim appearing in some media outlets that "an Alawite family in Syria was directly targeted by Turkish soldiers" is not true.
The statement included the following: "It has been determined that the footage in question was not recorded in Syria, but in the town of Aytarun in southern Lebanon.
The footage shows the moments when Israeli soldiers opened fire on a family inspecting their home.
Do not give credence to baseless claims."
