DMM statement on claims that US bombers are using Incirlik Air Base
The Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) has announced that claims stating "US B-1B Lancer bombers continue to take off and land at Incirlik Air Base" contain disinformation.
In a post shared on the DMM's social media account, it was stated: "Claims appearing in some social media accounts that 'US B-1B Lancer bombers continue to take off and land at Incirlik Air Base' contain disinformation.
The shared images and videos are old and belong to planned, routine training activities. They are not current.
They have no connection to the current regional conflicts. Serving images from past years as if they were new is a deliberate perception operation aimed at damaging Turkey's peace-oriented stance in the region and portraying our country as a party to the current conflicts.
We kindly request our citizens not to give credence to unsubstantiated claims from sources other than authorized official bodies, nor to manipulative content intended for provocation."
