DMM statement on reports that 'Germany is sending refugees to Turkey'

The statement noted that it is legally impossible for foreigners with criminal records or those without legal residency rights to be deported to Turkey.

In a post on the DMM's social media account, it was stated that Turkey has no practice of accepting third-country nationals from other countries.

Emphasizing that it is legally impossible for foreigners with criminal records or those without legal residency rights to be deported to Turkey, the statement included the following:

"The claim appearing in some media outlets that 'Germany is sending illegal refugees of Syrian, Afghan, Pakistani, and other nationalities to Turkey under the Readmission Agreement' is not true.

The Turkey-EU Readmission Agreement is only applied to Turkish citizens. Therefore, there is no question of our country taking back foreign nationals; these individuals are sent to their own countries. Necessary legal proceedings have been initiated against those aiming to mislead the public with content intended for perception management and provocation. We kindly request that our citizens only take into account statements from the relevant official institutions."
