President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced how long the Ramadan Feast holiday will last.
According to Erdoğan's statement, while Wednesday, April 10, Thursday, April 11, and Friday, April 12 will be holidays due to the feast, the following days that fall on the weekend, Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14, will also be added to the holiday.
Monday, April 8, the first working day before the Ramadan Feast eve, and Tuesday, April 9, the eve day which is a half-day shift, have been designated as administrative leave.
DOES HOLIDAY LEAVE COUNT AGAINST ANNUAL LEAVE?
During the holiday period, citizens considered to be on administrative leave began to question whether the leave they used counts against their annual leave.
Periods spent on administrative leave do not count against annual leave. There is no deduction in the wages of employees who are on administrative leave. If there are days designated as administrative leave within the period of annual leave being taken, those days are not deducted from the annual leave.
