Dog attempting to cross TEM Highway causes pile-up: Many injured
A dog attempting to cross the TEM Highway in Sultanbeyli caused a pile-up. 12 people were injured in the accident.
The incident occurred around 22:30 on the Ankara-bound direction of the TEM Highway in Sultanbeyli, Istanbul.
According to the information obtained, as a stray dog was attempting to cross the TEM Highway, a speeding vehicle with license plate 07 ALL 572, whose driver's name could not be learned, struck the dog.

Vehicles following in the same direction then collided with the car, causing a pile-up. 12 people were injured in the chain-reaction accident involving 3 vehicles. The dog died at the scene due to the impact.

Citizens who witnessed the incident notified the fire department, police, and medical teams.

Fire crews arriving at the scene handed the injured over to medical teams. After receiving initial treatment from the medical teams, the injured were transported to nearby hospitals. Police took security measures at the scene.
An investigation into the incident has been launched following the accident.
