Doğan Avcıoğlu, a patriotic intellectual known as one of the founders of the Yön and Devrim newspapers and for his works such as The Order of Turkey and History of National Liberation, will be commemorated by his young readers on his 100th birthday at the Ruhi Su Hall of the Nazım Hikmet Cultural Center.

In a joint statement shared by Tekin Yayınevi and Daima Gazetesi, it was stated: “The independence story of a country is meeting with young generations once again.
On Doğan Avcıoğlu’s 100th birthday, we are discussing the ‘History of National Liberation’ by coming together with his young readers.”
According to the statement, the work titled History of National Liberation, which Tekin Yayınevi has announced will be reprinted, stands out as the main theme of the event.
The fact that this work is being brought back to the agenda during days when imperialist aggression is increasing is quite noteworthy.
