Downpour alert in Ankara! Warning issued by the Governor's Office
The downpour warnings that have been ongoing for days in Ankara took effect again today. As thunderstorms began in the morning hours, lightning strikes occurred, and some streets and avenues were covered with water. The Ankara Governor's Office warned citizens to be cautious regarding the rainfall, which is expected to continue until 18:00.

LIGHTNING STRUCK VARIOUS PARTS OF THE CITY
Due to the thunderstorms that began at noon and suddenly increased in intensity, some streets and avenues in the city were covered with water. It was observed that citizens took shelter in bus stops and indoor areas to avoid getting wet, while motorcycle couriers had difficulty moving in traffic.

The Ankara Governor's Office reported that thunderstorms are expected in the city.
In a statement made on the Governor's Office's social media account, it was stated that according to data from the General Directorate of Meteorology's Analysis and Forecasting Center, local thunderstorms will be effective in Ankara.

In the statement, which noted that the rainfall will be effective until 18:00, citizens were asked to be careful and take precautions against negative conditions such as flash floods, inundations, lightning, local hail, and strong winds during the rainfall.
