A new warning has been issued for the heavy rainfall that has been affecting Istanbul for days. The Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) reported that rainfall will continue intermittently across the city on Saturday and may be locally heavy, especially in the northern districts.
According to AKOM's assessment, Istanbul and most of Turkey are under the influence of a cold air wave coming from the Balkans and a rainy system originating from the Central Mediterranean. For this reason, the rainfall is expected to intensify from time to time throughout the day in the city.

HEAVY RAIN WARNING FOR 5 DISTRICTS
The statement indicated that the rainfall could be locally heavy, particularly in Arnavutköy, Eyüp, Sarıyer, Beykoz, and Şile. Authorities are pointing out that citizens should be careful against flash floods and disruptions in transportation.
