Stating that America is facing a serious health crisis, Trump noted that there is no doctor more qualified than Mehmet Oz to address these issues. Oz will work alongside Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whom Trump appointed as Secretary of Health and Human Services last week. Trump added that Kennedy and Oz will "tackle the illness industrial complex, and all the horrible chronic diseases left in its wake."

Trump said the following regarding Mehmet Oz: "Our broken healthcare system harms everyday Americans, and crushes our country’s budget. Dr. Oz will be a leader in incentivizing disease prevention, so we get the best results in the world for every dollar we spend on healthcare in our great country. He will also cut waste and fraud within our country’s most expensive government agency, which is responsible for a third of our nation’s healthcare spend, and a quarter of our entire national budget."

Mehmet Oz was born on April 11, 1960, in Cleveland. He is a Turkish-American physician, television host, and politician. He graduated from Harvard University. Married to Lisa Oz, Mehmet Oz has four children named Daphne Nur, Anabella Sezen, Zoe Yasemin, and Oliver Mustafa. He hosted the television program titled The Dr. Oz Show.
