Drug and contraband operation at Istanbul Ambarlı Port
Customs Enforcement teams affiliated with the Ministry of Trade seized 275,520 electronic cigarettes during operations at Istanbul Ambarlı Port, while 35.2 kg of cocaine was discovered in a container loaded with bananas transiting through Turkey.
An operation targeting drugs and electronic cigarettes was carried out at Istanbul Ambarlı Port.
During the operation, 275,520 electronic cigarettes were seized, while 35.2 kg of cocaine was also found.
Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat stated in his remarks on the matter, "We will continue to stand against those who put public health at risk and attempt to harm our country's economy. Our fight against illegal trade and drugs continues with determination."
