Actress Afra Saraçoğlu, who was subject to a detention order as part of a drug investigation conducted by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into famous figures, was detained at Istanbul Airport upon her return to Turkey.
It had been reported that following the operation, Saraçoğlu stated on her social media account that she was abroad for a pre-planned business trip and announced that she would return to Turkey to provide a statement as soon as possible.
It was reported that Saraçoğlu, who arrived in Istanbul from abroad, was detained by teams at the airport. It was stated that the procedures within the scope of the investigation are continuing in line with the instructions of the prosecutor's office.
Within the scope of the same investigation, several individuals, including actors Aras Bulut İynemli, Nilperi Şahinkaya, and Melis Sezen, rapper Seyfullah Sağır (Sefo), former national football player Hasan Şaş, and journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, had previously been detained.
It was noted that the individuals in question were taken to the Council of Forensic Medicine for health checks and necessary procedures.
