Drug investigation targeting celebrities... Detention orders issued
As part of an investigation conducted by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, detention orders have been issued for a large number of individuals.
In an operation conducted by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command as part of a drug investigation targeting celebrities under the instruction of the Istanbul Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, actors Aras Bulut İynemli, Melis Sezen, Nilperi Şahinkaya, and rapper Sefo were detained.
The following statement was made by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the investigation:
"Within the scope of the fight against drugs that threaten public health and safety, in an investigation conducted by our Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, evidence supporting reasonable suspicion has been reached that suspects known to the public as actors, singers, business people, business owners, and social media influencers have used drugs and stimulants, facilitated drug use, or provided locations for such use; instructions were given to the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command on 18/09/2026 to carry out detention, search, and biological examination for 18 suspects, and to have them ready at our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office after their statements are taken. Respectfully announced to the public."
