Drug operation in 50 provinces: 580 kilograms of drugs seized

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya made statements regarding the 'Narkoçelik-38' operation on his social media accounts. Minister Yerlikaya stated that operations were carried out in 50 provinces targeting local criminal organizations and those involved in drug manufacturing.
'316 SUSPECTS APPREHENDED'
Minister Yerlikaya announced that 790 teams, 1,910 personnel, 14 aircraft, and 17 narcotic detector dogs participated in the operations coordinated by the General Directorate of Security's Department of Anti-Narcotic Crimes, and that 316 suspects were apprehended, while 580 kilograms of drugs and 121,970 drug pills were seized.
'WE ARE DETERMINED TO CLEANSE THE POISON PEDDLERS'
Minister Yerlikaya concluded his statement by thanking the participating personnel, stating, "I want our dear nation to know that we are determined to cleanse our country of poison peddlers and street dealers."
