Drug operation in Samsun
5 people were detained in a drug operation conducted by the police in Samsun.
According to the information obtained, 5 people were detained during searches conducted in the İlkadım and Atakum districts as part of operations carried out by the Samsun Police Department against individuals involved in drug trafficking. During detailed searches of the individuals, their vehicles, and their residences, 218 ecstasy pills, 110 synthetic pharmaceutical pills, 18 grams of methamphetamine, 3 unlicensed pistols, 1 blank-firing pistol, and 55 pistol cartridges were seized.
It was determined that one of the individuals caught during the operation had a finalized prison sentence of 10 years and 5 months for "drug trafficking." Additionally, another individual with a finalized prison sentence of 9 years and 7 months for crimes including "drug use," "escape of a prisoner or detainee," "violation of Law No. 6136," "using the identity and identity information of others," and "facilitating the departure of a Turkish citizen or foreigner from the country" was also apprehended.
While the 2 individuals with finalized prison sentences were sent to prison, 2 others were released after their statements were taken. U.C.Ş. (25), who was caught with 218 ecstasy pills during the operation, was referred to the Samsun Courthouse.
