Drugs found in chip bags in Istanbul

Sancaktepe District Police Department officers conducted inspections and operations across Istanbul aimed at ensuring general public order, preventing the commission of crimes, and apprehending the perpetrators of crimes already committed.

During inspections carried out last Wednesday in the İnönü Neighborhood of Sancaktepe district, an individual identified as S.E. was stopped on suspicion. Checks and a body search revealed 5 ecstasy pills and 1.58 grams of narcotics.

As a result of the interrogation of the individual, it was determined that they had obtained the narcotics from a minor identified as T.M.H.

Following field investigations, the suspect was apprehended in Kadıköy district. Checks and a body search revealed 10 ecstasy pills, 4.61 grams of narcotics, and 750 TL in cash.

DRUGS HIDDEN IN CHIP BAGS

In the continuation of the operations, a search of the suspect's residence in the Çatalmeşe Neighborhood of Çekmeköy district resulted in the seizure of 111 grams of marijuana and 76 ecstasy pills hidden inside chip bags.

TWO SUSPECTS ARRESTED

The suspects apprehended in connection with the matter were referred to judicial authorities yesterday, where they were arrested and remanded to a penal institution.
