Drugs worth 150 million liras seized at Kapıkule
Drugs with a market value of 150 million liras were seized during a search of a truck at the Kapıkule Border Gate. The driver has been arrested.
An operation targeting drug trafficking was carried out by teams from the Provincial Security Directorate's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Branch and the Anti-Narcotics Branch, in coordination with the Edirne Customs Enforcement, Smuggling and Intelligence Directorate.
A search was conducted on a truck driven by a suspect identified as U.A., who was entering the country through Kapıkule. During the search, 190 kilograms of synthetic drugs, 16 kilograms of cocaine, and 24 kilograms of skunk, with a total market value of approximately 150 million liras, were seized in the truck's trailer, and the driver was taken into custody.
Following the procedures at the police station, the suspect was referred to the courthouse, where he was arrested by the court and sent to prison.
