Dust cloud from Syria to affect these regions! Visibility will be near zero for 3 days
The dust cloud arriving from Syria is expected to affect the Eastern Mediterranean and Southeastern Anatolia regions for 3 days. Abdullah Macit, an expert at the General Directorate of Meteorology under the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, advised citizens, especially those with chronic illnesses, to take precautions.
Abdullah Macit, a weather forecasting expert at the General Directorate of Meteorology under the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, stated that they expect dust transport, particularly in the Eastern Mediterranean and Southeastern Anatolia regions, today and tomorrow due to the dust cloud coming from Syria.
Macit said that the dust transport expected in the vicinity of Adana, Hatay, Maraş, Kilis, Antep, Urfa, and Adıyaman will lose its effect on Thursday.
Stating that caution is necessary due to desert dust being carried by winds, Macit said, "Since there is no precipitation, the dust will not turn into mud, but there will be a decline in air quality. We especially want citizens with chronic illnesses to be cautious."
