Earthquake affects education in Yalova: 1-day break
Due to the 5.1 magnitude earthquake that occurred in the Sea of Marmara, education in primary and secondary schools in the Armutlu district of Yalova has been suspended for today.
Education has been suspended in the Armutlu district of Yalova due to an earthquake.
According to the statement by AFAD, the epicenter of the earthquake was 17.2 kilometers off the coast of the Gemlik Gulf. The earthquake was felt in Yalova as well as in surrounding provinces such as Bursa, Kocaeli, Istanbul, and Balıkesir.
The Yalova Governorship announced that following the earthquake, education in primary and secondary schools in the Armutlu district has been suspended for today. The Governorship stated that this decision was taken for the safety of students and teachers.
