Earthquake statement from the Kırklareli Governor's Office
No damage or negative incidents were reported in Kırklareli following the 6.2 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Istanbul.
The 6.2 magnitude earthquake that occurred off the coast of Silivri in the Sea of Marmara, Istanbul, was also felt in surrounding provinces. In a statement issued after the earthquake, the Kırklareli Governor's Office stated that no negative incidents had occurred in the city.
The following statements were included in the Governor's Office announcement:
'We wish a speedy recovery to all our citizens affected by the 6.2 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Silivri, Sea of Marmara, Istanbul. As a result of the field scans conducted by AFAD and our relevant institutions regarding the earthquake, which was also felt in our province, and the evaluation of reports received by the 112 Emergency Call Center, there are currently no negative situations in our province. May God protect our country and our dear nation from all disasters.'
Authorities confirmed that there was no damage or injury in the inspections carried out after the earthquake. AFAD and other relevant institutions carried out the necessary checks in the region.
