Earthquake swarm in the Aegean Sea

The Kandilli Observatory has announced that the strongest earthquake in the swarm occurring in the Aegean Sea was magnitude 5.1. The depth of the earthquake was reported as 5 kilometers. Tremors in the region are continuing.

Earthquake swarm in the Aegean Sea

In the earthquake swarm occurring in the Aegean Sea, the strongest earthquake recorded so far reached a magnitude of 5.1.

In a statement from the Kandilli Observatory, it was noted that the earthquake occurred at 12:29 and had a depth of 5.0 kilometers. This was recorded as the strongest earthquake among the tremors occurring in the region.

 

Prior to this, a magnitude 4.7 earthquake occurred off the coast of Bodrum at 11:13, while the next tremor was a magnitude 4.8 at 11:26.
