Ebubekir Şahin appointed as new CEO of Türk Telekom
RTÜK Chairman Ebubekir Şahin has been appointed as the CEO of Türk Telekom.
Türk Telekom Chairman of the Board İsmail İlhan Hatipoğlu stated: "On behalf of our Board of Directors, I would like to thank Ümit Önal, who has served as CEO at Türk Telekom for over 6 years and has made significant contributions to our company during key milestones in the sector, and I wish him success.
As Turkey's leading information and communication technologies company, Türk Telekom will continue to be a flag-bearer in the journey of building our country's digital future under the leadership of our new CEO, Ebubekir Şahin," he said.
Ebubekir Şahin will serve as the CEO of Türk Telekom effective October 24, 2025.
Hatipoğlu said, "We continue our investments and activities aimed at building our country's digital future without interruption. With over 34 thousand employees in the Türk Telekom family, we are working in every corner of all 81 provinces. On behalf of our Board of Directors, I would like to thank Ümit Önal, who has carried out important work for our company during key milestones in the telecommunications sector, and I wish success to Önal, whose contributions to our company will continue as a Board Member, in his new role as Head of the Cyber Security Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye.
