Journalist Ece Üner has received a death threat involving a 'white Toros' after she reacted to the decision to revoke the civil rights of Abdullah Zeydan, the DEM Party candidate who won the election in Van, and award the election certificate to the runner-up, Abdulahat Arvas of the AKP.
An individual wrote to Üner on social media, "Ece Üner, would you like a white Toros to come for you soon?"

Üner spoke for the first time following the threat she received.
'THERE IS A GAME WITHIN A GAME'
Stating that she was intentionally misunderstood by a certain group, the famous presenter added, "I said that the events happening in Van could spread to all provinces. Citizens who voted are naturally seeking their legitimate rights. The people's votes should not be ignored. There is a game within a game in this situation. That is why I think the election should be repeated." She added:
"I am not defending Abdullah Zeydan, who was elected as the Metropolitan Mayor of Van from the DEM Party. But was this person's candidacy not known? In my opinion, the election needs to be repeated."
'I RECEIVED THREATS FROM THE PKK YEARS AGO'
Continuing her remarks, Üner stated, "It seems as if they want the streets to be stirred up. Right now, things are in total confusion. The message sent to me also emphasized that 'the 90s could return.' This can be called a form of keyboard bravado. These types of threats happen in every era. I had received threats from the PKK years ago as well. If I were afraid of iron, I wouldn't get on the train."
WHAT HAPPENED?
Following the "revocation of the prohibited rights" of Abdullah Zeydan, who was the candidate for the Van Metropolitan Municipality from the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) and was elected with 55 percent of the vote, the election certificate was given to the Justice and Development Party (AKP) candidate Abdulahat Arvas, who received 27 percent of the vote.
