Education suspended for one day in Ankara
Ankara Governor Şahin announced that education has been suspended.
Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin announced that due to adverse weather conditions expected to affect the province, education has been suspended for one day in all public and private educational institutions and courses at all levels.
The statement from Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin is as follows:
"According to the latest meteorological assessments, as snowfall is expected to begin in our province tomorrow (Friday) from the early hours and remain effective until noon, potentially leaving a snow cover of up to 15 cm in some places, and given the expectation of strong winds and storms (40 to 60 km/h), education has been suspended for 1 day throughout the province in all public and private educational institutions and courses under our Governorship to ensure our children are not affected or inconvenienced by potential negative conditions. Female public employees with children aged 10 and under, as well as pregnant and disabled public employees, will be considered on administrative leave."
