91 people detained in two separate investigations in Istanbul have been taken to Çağlayan.
The police phase of the investigations initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has been completed. These investigations concern Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and 99 suspects on charges of "managing a criminal organization," "membership in a criminal organization," "extortion," "bribery," "qualified fraud," "unlawful acquisition of personal data," and "rigging tenders," as well as a separate investigation into 7 suspects, including İmamoğlu, IMM Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat, and Şişli Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan, on charges of "aiding the PKK/KCK terrorist organization."
Within the scope of the investigations, the statements of 91 people, including IMM Mayor İmamoğlu, IMM Mayor Advisor Murat Ongun, Beylikdüzü Mayor Murat Çalık, Şişli Mayor Şahan, and singer Ercan Saatçi, have been completed at the Istanbul Police Department.
Following health checks, the 91 individuals were transferred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan. The 91 people will now provide their statements to the prosecutor there.
