Ekrem İmamoğlu reacts to Köseler's arrest decision: 'Istanbul Lawlessness'

İmamoğlu reacted to the arrest decision issued for Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler, who was detained four days ago, with a statement on his social media account.

Describing the events as 'Istanbul Lawlessness', İmamoğlu said the following:

Unfortunately, we are living through a period that will go down in history as 'Istanbul Lawlessness'. Our Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler has also been arrested.

For the first time in history, 3 CHP district mayors in Istanbul are currently under arrest.

Those who lost to the nation in the elections are staging a coup against the national will with other powers.

We will surely defeat the mindset that has brought Turkey to this state, together with our nation. We will continue on our path and our struggle with faith.
