Ekrem İmamoğlu shares statement on City Restaurants with a chart: 'Let those who belittle it take a good look'

The City Restaurants project, which has managed to reach millions of citizens in a short time and has quickly become a staple choice for Istanbulites due to its affordable prices, continues to be a topic of conversation.

While the long queues in front of the restaurants show how much difficulty citizens face in accessing healthy and filling food, the number of City Restaurants is increasing day by day with every new branch opened.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu also addressed those trying to belittle the City Restaurants project in a post on his social media account. Pointing out that we are in 5th place on the world food inflation list based on the chart he shared, İmamoğlu made the following statement:

"Let those who belittle our City Restaurants take a good look at this chart.

Unfortunately, we are in 5th place on the world food inflation list. Of course, those who do not visit the markets and bazaars have no idea about this. Our City Restaurants exist to fight this deep poverty. We will continue to stand by the people."
