Ekrem İmamoğlu: The mindset that hasn't solved this nation's problems in 22 years won't solve them in 200 years
Speaking at the CHP Provincial Chairs Meeting, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu said, "The mindset that hasn't solved this nation's problems in 22 years won't solve them in 200 years."
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu made statements regarding the agenda at the CHP Provincial Chairs Meeting in Istanbul.
Highlights from İmamoğlu's speech are as follows:
"I haven't seen a single citizen who believes the government will fix the economy. They are either telling us about their hopes for us, or they are warning us if we have any shortcomings. They say, 'Do not allow discord among yourselves.'
The mindset that hasn't solved this nation's problems in 22 years won't solve them in 200 years.
We will focus on the qualities that brought us to the position of the leading party. We will explain to our people, one by one, that we view our 86 million people as a whole, and this heavenly homeland as a whole.
We will demonstrate at every moment how much importance we place on social peace and tranquility.
We must etch into our minds that the upcoming election cannot be won by the government. If we are to lose, we will be the ones to lose it. Every member of the CHP must stand out with their diligence, virtue, justice, and the sense of being an individual who creates a feeling of trust.
The responsibility of the CHP continues. In the 101st year of our Republic, its responsibility to protect the freedom and independence of our country continues.
They have only one goal, which is to usurp the will of the nation in the upcoming elections as well. Do not allow individual ambitions and interests."
